Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Koval had a meeting on October 25, 2012 with Mr. Riad Salameh, Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon

The sides discussed stance and perspectives of bilateral Lebanese-Ukrainian relations in financial and banking spheres, in particular in the context of the Agreement between the Central Bank of Lebanonand the National Bank of Ukraine signed in November, 2011.
Volodymyr Koval ascertained the interest of both countries for intensification of trade and economic cooperation. He stressed that during nine months of 2012 the turnover between Lebanonand Ukrainewas 1.23 billion USD.
During the meeting Riad Salameh confirmed his intention to visit Kyiv in the nearest time by invitation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov.
