The culmination of the Festival of Ukrainian Culture in Lebanon, which lasted for two weeks, undoubtedly became a concert of Jamala, the famous Ukrainian singer, winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2016, at the Kazino du Liban on May 23, 2019. This was her first concert in the Middle East. The guests of the musical evening enjoyed the unsurpassed timbre of the singer's voice, the original style of performing Ukrainian and Crimeantatars songs, heard and saw the world-class song talent. The concert has become an important event in the cultural life of Lebanon. Jamala was applauded by members of the Lebanese parliament, representatives of political and business circles, the media, art and scientific communities, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the Ukrainian community. The concert was preceded by the opening of the Crimean Tatar art exhibition “Zinzhir. Links of memory" dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars, as well as the speeches by M.Jemiliev, People's Deputy of Ukraine, leader of the Crimean Tatar people and I.Ostash, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lebanon. The event was held with the assistance of the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon and the support of the Ukrainian Community in Lebanon.
