A delegation of the deputy group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on inter-parliamentary relations with Lebanon: S.Sobolev (head of the delegation), M.Jemilyev and L. Yemets visited Lebanon on May 21-24, 2019. The delegation met with the President of Lebanon M. Aoun, the Chairman of the National Assembly of Lebanon N. Berry, the Prime Minister of Lebanon S. Hariri, and the representatives of the Lebanese-Ukrainian parliamentary friendship committee headed by M.Mussa. The parties discussed the situation in Ukraine, the prospects of bilateral cooperation, in particular in the economic and humanitarian spheres, emphasized the importance of further development of political dialogue between the two countries, agreed with the need to strengthen mutual support in international organizations, agreed to accelerate work on expanding bilateral legal bases.  During the visit, Ukrainian people's deputies took part in the opening of the Crimean Tatar art exhibition “Zinjir. Links of memory" devoted to the 75th anniversary of the deportation of the Crimean Tatars, met with the Ukrainian community of Lebanon, and also attended the concert of Jamala, the Ukrainian singer
