The purpose of the festival is to present Ukraine and its multifaceted culture and historical traditions,  show  the best samples of song, music and fine arts. The group "Chorea  Kozaсky" was created in 2005 in Kyiv. The name of the band comes from the name of a musical piece "Chorea Kozacky" clavier tablature dating back to 1640, which has been preserved in the musical archives of Bratislava in Slovakia and is translated as "Cossack Dance". The repertoire covers songs of different epochs: from the late Middle Ages to the present day. The band performs concerts, music of the Middle Ages, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, and Romanticism. The genre diversity of the performed music includes: dumas (lyric & epic works of folk origin about events in the Cossack period of the 16th–17th century), historical, heroic, Cossack, strilets and rebel songs (Ukrainian shooter and Insurgent troops songs), religious hymns, psalms, canticles, ballads, marches, spiritual concerts. Musicians of the group play ancient musical instruments, Ukrainian and European string and wind instruments. The unique image of the ensemble is created by a unique repertoire, male voices polyphony, original sounding and virtuosic instrumental style of ornamentation. During the concert, the public enjoyed Ukrainian songs and unsurpassed sound of many ancient musical instruments (bandura, lyre, kobza, harp, drum, violin, etc.).
