On July 20, 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Koval met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lebanon Saad Hariri.

During the meeting the Head of the Lebanese Government was given the invitation from the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov to pay an official visit to Ukraine. Saad Hariri thanked for the invitation and informed that he has an intention to visit Ukraine in the end of this or in the beginning of next year.

The Sides also discussed condition and perspectives of development of the Lebanese-Ukrainian relations. The Ambassador informed the Prime Minister about positive dynamics of the turnover between Ukraine and Lebanon in 2010 and pointed out that the Ukrainian Government is ready for long-time, pragmatic and predicted co-operation with Lebanon.

The counterparts agreed with expediency of more active engagement of both Sides’ opportunities, in particular on regional level, for intensification of co-operation between Ukraine and the Republic of Lebanon in different fields.
