On June 29, 2011 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Lebanese Republic Volodymyr Koval met with Minister of Interior and Municipalities of Lebanon Marwan Charbel.

During the meeting issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, in particular, conclusion of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Lebanese Republic on readmission and of the Implementation Protocol to it.

The Ambassador voiced hope that formation on June 13 of the new government in Lebanon will help resolve the issue of the visit of a Lebanese delegation to Kyiv soon for holding talks aimed at finalizing the document.

Issues of visa policy, reciprocal actions in tackling the problems associated with staying of Ukrainian nationals in Lebanon and Lebanese nationals in Ukraine, were also examined.
