On July 19, 2011 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Lebanese Republic Volodymyr Koval met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic Adnan Mansour.

At the outset of the meeting, Volodymyr Koval handed over to the Lebanese official the congratulatory letter from Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Kostyantyn Gryshchenko, on the occasion of his recent appointment to the high post.

The two parties discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation in various fields. It was stressed as important to further intensify political dialogue between Ukraine and Lebanon through paying mutual visits at high level.

Special attention was paid to the present state and prospects of development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation. The interlocutors spoke in favour of holding the second session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Lebanese Commission in autumn 2011 in Beirut.

Exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East region also took place.
