Meeting between Ambassador of Ukraine to the Lebanese Republic Volodymyr Koval and Mr. Gaby Layoun, Minister of Culture of Lebanon, took place on October 17, 2012.

The Ambassador informed Lebanese official on the issue of actual Ukrainian-Lebanese relations and described the activities, undertaken by the Embassy on marking the 20-th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Minister assured Ukrainian Side on his assistance in organizing the joint concert to be given on this occasion.

To promote bilateral relations Mr. Layoun expressed his wish to pay visit to Ukraineby invitation of his Ukrainian colleague.

During the visit it is planned to negotiate the determination of basic priorities of cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere with the Minister of Culture of Ukraine Mykhailo Kulinyak. Besides, the issue of holding the Days of Culture of Ukraine in the LebaneseRepublicin 2013 will be discussed.
