Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Koval had a meeting on October 18, 2012 with Prof. Oussama Chafic Jadayel, Chair, Mechanical Engineering Department, Director, Balamand Institute of Aeronautics, University of Balamand.

The counterpart told to the Ambassador about his trip to Ukraine within the delegation of the University of Balamand headed by Prof. Michel Najjar, Vice President. In Kyiv Lebanese scientists visited the O. Antonov Aircraft Design Bureau, “Avuant” aircraft plant. They were also received in the National Aviation Universityin Kyiv, the Momorandum of Intentions was signed between two universities for future cooperation. In the city of Zaporizhya the Lebanese delegation visited the National Technical University(the University of Balamand has the agreement on cooperation with thisUkrainian University) and also “MotorSich” and ZAZ factories. In his turn Volodymyr Koal suggested to the Lebanese guest the cooperation in the field of thermodynamics and gas turbines with Prof. A. Khalatov from the Technical Thermophysics Institute, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
