On March 23, 2012 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Beirut Volodymyr Koval met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon Adnan Mansour.

During the meeting the interlocutors reviewed the situation in the Middle East region and specified tentative terms and format of the future visit of the Lebanese official to Ukraine.

Regarding the crisis in Syria, Adnan Mansour reaffirmed Beirut’s official position on ways of resolving it, which fully coincides with the directives received by Kofi Annan from the United Nations Security Council.

The two sides also discussed the issue of holding events to mark the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Lebanon, which is due in December 2012.
