Inauguration of the Ukrainian Cultural Center – public non-governmental organization established by the initiative of Ukrainians living in Lebanon and with assistance of the Embassy – took place on October 31, 2010 in Beirut.

The gathering was addressed by Volodymyr Koval, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lebanon. A big concert took place, composed mostly of Ukrainian performing artistic items.

The center will feature Ukrainian Language courses for Lebanese citizens as well as Lebanese children of Ukrainian origin, courses of Arabic, library, creative circles, including amateur dancing circles for adults and children, sports sections.

Yulia Hemadeh, a Ukrainian national living in Lebanon, is the director of the Ukrainian Cultural Center.
