On April 24, 2010 Ambassador of Ukraine to Lebanon Volodymyr Koval met with the governor of South Lebanon Nicolas Abu Dhaher and President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon Mohamad Al-Zaatari.

During the meeting the two sides noted positive dynamic of bilateral trade and economic cooperation in 2009, in particular, trade turnover between Ukraine and Lebanon amounted to almost 700 mln. USD.

The Lebanese officials were informed about Ukraine’s industrial potential in the fields of aircraft-building and shipbuilding, solar power and construction of small hydropower stations.

Special attention was paid to the issue of revitalization of cooperation between regional chambers of commerce and industry in Ukraine and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Sidon and South Lebanon.
