On 15 February 2012 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lebanon Volodymyr Koval met with the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon Riad Salameh.

The two sides discussed perspectives of cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Lebanon in the banking sphere taking into account the Agreement between National Bank of Ukraine and Central Bank of Lebanon signed in November 2011.

Volodymyr Koval conveyed to Riad Salameh an official invitation from the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov to visit Kyiv for familiarization with the Ukrainian banking sector and discussion of ways of cooperation in financial and banking sphere.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon expressed his readiness to pay visit to Ukraine in the first half of 2012.
