On June 3, 2020, Ambassador of Ukraine to Lebanon Ihor Ostash met with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Defense of Lebanon Zeina Akar. During the meeting, they discussed  the process of concluding the Agreement on Military-Technical Cooperation between Ukraine and Lebanon, as well as cooperation in the training of military and medical personnel and the exchange of experience in peacekeeping operations. The Ambassador of Ukraine reminded the Minister of the participation of Ukrainian peacekeepers in UNIFIL in 2001-2006, especially the fact that Ukrainian peacekeepers deactivated more than 6,000 mines. Today, Ukraine is ready to assist Lebanon in training relevant engineers.

أجرى سفير أوكرانيا في لبنان إيهور أوستاش في 3 حزيران 2020 لقاء بدولة نائبة رئيس مجلس الوزراء - وزيرة الدفاع اللبنانية زينة عكر. وتم خلال اللقاء بحث اتمام عملية إبرام اتفاقية التعاون العسكري الفني بين أوكرانيا ولبنان ، وكذلك التعاون في تدريب الجنود والأطباء العسكريين وتبادل الخبرات في عمليات حفظ السلام. وذكّر سفير أوكرانيا الوزيرة عكر بمشاركة قوات حفظ السلام الأوكرانية في قوة الأمم المتحدة المؤقتة في لبنان اليونفيل في الفترة ما بين 2001-2006 ، ولا سيما حقيقة أن قوات حفظ السلام الأوكرانية قامت بإزالة أكثر من 6000 لغم. ، معربا عن أن أوكرانيا اليوم مستعدة لمساعدة لبنان في تدريب المهندسين المعنيين.
