On February 17, 2012 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Beirut Volodymyr Koval met with the Minister of Culture of Lebanon Gaby Layoun.

During the meeting the present condition and prospects of development of cooperation between the two countries in the cultural sphere were reviewed. In order to intensify collaboration, both sides agreed, in particular, to organize Days of Culture of Ukraine in Lebanon in 2013 and Days of Culture of Lebanon in Ukraine in 2014.

In the framework of events to mark the 20th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two states, the interlocutors spoke in favor of staging a joint concert of Ukrainian and Lebanese artists.

The Minister of Culture of Lebanon expressed his readiness to pay visit to Ukraine in 2012.
