During the meeting Ambassador Volodymyr Koval briefed the Head of the Lebanese Government about current developments in Ukraine, in particular about the Russian occupation of the part of Ukrainian territory and illegal decisions and moves by the self-proclaimed Government of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The Sides discussed the present state and prospects of the bilateral cooperation.

Tammam Salam welcomed the idea of making a return-visit to Ukraine after the visit of the Ukrainian Prime Minister to Lebanon in 2011. At the same time he pointed out that the implementation of this idea may be complicated by this year presidential and parliamentary elections in Lebanon.
