The main purpose of the event was to introduce economic and investment potential of Ukraine to Lebanese business community, as well as to present main LUBC tasks in order to attract its potential new members.
At the opening ceremony the Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Koval, the Chairman of LUBC, famous businessman Rabih Frem and the Minister of Economy of Lebanon – Co-Chairman of the Ukrainian-Lebanese Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation Nicolas Nahas delivered their speeches.
The event was attended by Lebanese ministers, heads of foreign diplomatic missions in Beirut, Lebanese presidents of powerful companies, representatives of Ukrainian community and journalists.
Established in 2008, LUBC was officially registered in the Ministry of Interior of Lebanon in 2012 as a non-governmental organization.
