On April 10, 2012 the Ambassador of Ukraine in Beirut Volodymyr Koval met with the Minister of Economy and Trade of Lebanon Nicolas Nahhas, Co-Chair of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Lebanese commission for trade and economic cooperation.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss terms and basic parameters of the official visit of Prime Minister of Lebanon Najib Mikati to Kyiv on the invitation of Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov. The visit is planned for the first half of 2012.

The two sides reviewed the issues of development of cooperation between the two countries in spheres of energy, agriculture, maritime merchant shipping and aircraft-building.
