On February 17, 2013 the Ambassador of Ukraine Volodymyr Koval took part in a solemn mass in the St. Nicklas Orthodox Cathedral in Beirut on occasion of the visit to Lebanon of the newly elected Patriarch of Antioch and all the Middle East Youhanna X (Yazigi).
After the mass a luncheon was held in honor of the newly elected Patriarch. Many congratulation speeches were made in his honor.
The mass was attended by the President of the Lebanese Republic Michel Sleiman, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, ministers, deputies of the Parliament, diplomatic corps, representatives of many Сhristian churches of the world, many high guests.
